3 actions to remind you that there is light at the end of the tunnel

I have been out and about a lot more lately, with Altrui road trips and Altrui coffee klatches in Phoenix and Denver. I’ve been reminded by nonprofit fundraising professionals that many are having difficult times with fundraising, leadership, board relationships, and their work as leaders in fundraising.

After many conversations I thought I would share three actions to remind you that there is light at the end of the tunnel:

One: Call a donor. Preferrably one you know. Call to thank them again and to remind them how grateful you are for their support.

Two: Call or hang out with some of your co-workers in programs. This is a wonderful way to be reminded of the amazing impact your organization is having and your role in it.

Three: Schedule coffee with other nonprofit fundraisers. I notice at our coffee klatches that aside from learning or being reminded of fundraising ideas and support with whatever they are working on, fundraisers attending love the sense of community and sharing challenges with people who can relate.

Try these. I promise they can help you see the light at the end of the tunnel!
